NFL Rebels Update: Week 2
OXFORD, Miss. – Here at OleMissSports.com, we are proud to update Rebel fans on the status of our former players who lace up their cleats on Sundays in the NFL. In Week 2, 19 former Rebels saw action across the league.
Indianapolis Colts rookie cornerback Kapena Gushiken made the most of his opportunity on Sunday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs. Playing just eight defensive snaps, Gushiken brought down two tackles, including one tackle for loss, and had a huge pass breakup late in the game. With 3:28 remaining in regulation and the Chiefs facing third and 7, Gushiken broke up a pass from Patrick Mahomes intended for Rashee Rice, forcing a punt and helping send the game to overtime.
