OXFORD, Miss. – The Ole Miss volleyball program returns to action on Sunday afternoon, playing host to LSU at the Gillom Athletics Performance Center.

The Rebels (8-13, 2-8 SEC) are facing off against the Tigers (9-10, 4-6 SEC) for the first time since the SEC Tournament victory last season. The match will open at 2 p.m. CT and will be streamed via SEC Network Plus.

RALLY POINTS
  • Ole Miss plays host to LSU for game two of a four-match homestand on Sunday.
  • Vivianna Samaniego has proven to be a threat at the service line, particularly in SEC play. The setter ranks ninth in the SEC in aces per set at 0.38 in conference matches.
  • The Rebels have developed an early tendency to finish strong. Ole Miss is a combined 14-28 in all first and second sets, but 17-19 in sets three through five.
  • Libero Cameron Bradley continues to lead the SEC in digs per set at 4.93. Despite injuries marring a few matches, Bradley ranks 11th nationally in the metric.
  • Sophomore Bella Bonanno has stepped up in Bradley's absence, recording back-to-back career-highs in digs with 18 against South Carolina and 20 at Auburn.
  • Ole Miss is 7-0 when recording at least seven service aces, compared to 1-13 across all others.
  • While the Rebels allow the most service aces against in the entire SEC, they will be facing the LSU servers, who rank last aces in the conference.
SERIES HISTORY
While LSU holds a significant all-time series lead of 57-24, the series has been incredibly tight and fiery in recent history. In fact, the Rebels and Tigers have played five setters in six of the last nine meetings, with only sweep coming in the last meeting between the two teams at the 2025 SEC Tournament. In that match, Shayla Meyer recorded one of the best performances of her career, tallying 17 kills and seven digs on .600 hitting. Melia Johnson has also had success against LSU, recording a career-high 21 kills at LSU in the regular season last year.

LAST TIME OUT
The Rebels found a renewed defensive intensity but could not get offensive momentum going, falling 3-0 to Mississippi State on Friday night in Oxford. The Rebel defense tallied nine blocks and limited the Bulldogs to .242 hitting, but the Rebel offense struggled to convert all night. Shayla Meyer led the team with seven kills and three blocks, while Ryea Jackson added four kills and five blocks in the loss.

CAM CAN
Ole Miss libero Cameron Bradley had a season debut to remember, tallying an NCAA leading 78 digs over the first three matches of the season on her way to SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Bradley bested her previous career-high in digs in all three matches, headlined by a 30-dig performance in the finale against LMU.

Since that time, Bradley has gotten off to a sensational start to what has been a breakout campaign. Despite currently dealing with an injury, Bradley ranks continues to lead the SEC and ranks 11th in the nation in digs per set with 4.93.

Bradley is in her first season as the starting libero following the graduation of all-time digs leader Cammy Niesen and has seamlessly stepped into the rotation. Bradley has also shined at the service line with 14 service aces this season.

TIME TO CROOK
The Rebels made a big splash in the transfer portal entering this season, adding UAB opposite Jorda Crook to the program. A native of Ohatchee, Ala., Crook made her mark in three seasons as a Blazer, earning two All-AAC First Team honors and taking home five AAC Player of the Week awards, becoming the first UAB volleyball player to ever accomplish the feat.

Crook follows a growing path of impact transfers into the program. Head coach Bre Henry and her staff have developed 400-kill hitters in back-to-back seasons, with Crook entering the fold on the heels of 394 kills as a junior at UAB.

Crook is off to a strong start to her Ole Miss tenure, tallying a team-high 222 kills, while also leading the team with 57.0 blocks and ranking second in with 18 service aces.

Crook made personal history against Missouri, reaching 1,000 kills in her decorated career and doing so in just 86 matches.

THE ROAD TO 1K
After senior opposite Jorda Crook earned her 1,000th collegiate kill in a home victory over Missouri on October 2, the Rebels have their eyes on more big milestones ahead of the meat of the SEC schedule.

Shayla Meyer is seeking to join Crook at 1,000 kills, standing at 931 in her collegiate career. The fifth year is unique in all have come as a Rebel and reaching the milestone would put Meyer into the top-10 all-time in the rally scoring era at Ole Miss. Setter Vivianna Samaniego is also chasing a personal milestone, standing 72 assists away from 1,000 assists.

CLIMBING THE LADDER
Shayla Meyer enters her final collegiate season with eyes on the record books. After multiple service aces at No. 4 Kentucky, Meyer moved into a tie for third place in the rally scoring era in service aces and now has 86 in her career. Meyer is seeking to become the eighth Rebel to ever reach 100 service aces.

Her 32 aces in 2025 marked Meyer's second straight season with 30 or more service aces. A third-consecutive 30-ace season would be enough to allow Meyer to become just the second Rebel in the rally scoring era to tally 100 or more service aces and put pressure on becoming the all-time leader in the era.

Additionally, Meyer also has eyes on several longer-term milestones, including 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs. Meyer currently sits at 931 kills and 758 digs in her standout Rebel tenure.

SCOUTING LSU
At 9-10 and 4-6 in the SEC, the LSU Tigers are fighting for SEC Tournament positioning as they enter the game under fifth year head coach Tonya Johnson. The Tigers have been up and down this season, with strong wins over Missouri, Tulsa and Auburn, but hiccups against Michigan, NC State and Mississippi State.

The defining talent on the Tigers remains Jurnee Robinson, who carries a heavy load for the team with 4.92 kills per set and a .237 hitting percentage. The Tigers have been searching for someone to help Robinson, as Camryn Jeffrey (2.40 kills per set) and Jessica Jones (1.63 kills per set) have been the best of the bunch. The Tigers are just 1-5 when Robinson tallies 15 kills or less and 5-3 when she goes for 20 or more kills. Defensively, Robinson and Jones are leading the way on the blocking, while Kiley Brooks averages 3.99 digs per set behind them.
