GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Ole Miss volleyball program returns to action on the road this Sunday, clashing with No. 5 Florida at the Stephen C O'Connell Center.

The Rebels (8-11, 2-6 SEC) will face off against the SEC leading Gators (16-2, 7-1 SEC) at 12 p.m. CT. The match will be streamed via SEC Network Plus.

RALLY POINTS
  • The Ole Miss is set for its fourth ranked opponent this season, facing No. 5 Florida.
  • The Rebels have developed an early tendency to finish strong. Ole Miss is a combined 14-24 in all first and second sets, but 17-17 in sets three through five.
  • Libero Cameron Bradley continues to lead the SEC in digs per set at 4.93. Despite injuries marring a few matches, Bradley ranks 10th nationally in the metric.
  • Sophomore Bella Bonanno has stepped up in Bradley's absence, recording back-to-back career-highs in digs with 18 against South Carolina and 20 at Auburn on Friday.
  • Assistant coach Savannah Rennie will match up opposite her former head coach while she was a student-athlete at Marquette, Ryan Theis, for the second time since Theis took the job at Florida.
  • Ole Miss is 7-0 when recording at least seven service aces, compared to 1-11 across all others.
  • The Rebels have cut down their service errors in recent matches. After averaging 12.67 errors per match through the first nine, that number is down to 8.3 over the next 10.
SERIES HISTORY
The Rebels are seeking to make history, having not defeated Florida since 1989 and never having won in Gainesville in the 70-match all-time series. Florida leads 63-7 overall, but the Rebels have shown tremendous fight against the Gators in recent seasons, taking at least one set in each of the last four meetings, including last season's 3-1 win by the Gators.

LAST TIME OUT
The Rebels were unable to recover from a quick start by Auburn, falling 3-0 at Auburn on Friday night. Shayla Meyer led the way for the Rebel offense with eight kills, while Bella Bonanno tallied a career-high 20 digs, but the Rebels were unable to keep Auburn off the scoresheet. Despite a third set push, the Rebels could not extend the match before ultimately falling.

CAM CAN
Ole Miss libero Cameron Bradley had a season debut to remember, tallying an NCAA leading 78 digs over the first three matches of the season on her way to SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Bradley bested her previous career-high in digs in all three matches, headlined by a 30-dig performance in the finale against LMU.

Since that time, Bradley has gotten off to a sensational start to what has been a breakout campaign. Despite currently dealing with an injury, Bradley ranks third the SEC in total digs at 266, while the Austin, Texas native also leads the SEC and ranks 10th in the nation in digs per set with 4.93.

Bradley is in her first season as the starting libero following the graduation of all-time digs leader Cammy Niesen and has seamlessly stepped into the rotation. Bradley has also shined at the service line with 14 service aces this season.

TIME TO CROOK
The Rebels made a big splash in the transfer portal entering this season, adding UAB opposite Jorda Crook to the program. A native of Ohatchee, Ala., Crook made her mark in three seasons as a Blazer, earning two All-AAC First Team honors and taking home five AAC Player of the Week awards, becoming the first UAB volleyball player to ever accomplish the feat.

Crook follows a growing path of impact transfers into the program. Head coach Bre Henry and her staff have developed 400-kill hitters in back-to-back seasons, with Crook entering the fold on the heels of 394 kills as a junior at UAB.

Crook is off to a strong start to her Ole Miss tenure, tallying a team-high 210 kills, while also leading the team with 55.0 blocks and ranking second in with 18 service aces.

Crook made personal history against Missouri, reaching 1,000 kills in her decorated career and doing so in just 86 matches.

THE ROAD TO 1K
After senior opposite Jorda Crook earned her 1,000th collegiate kill in a home victory over Missouri on October 2, the Rebels have their eyes on more big milestones ahead of the meat of the SEC schedule.

Shayla Meyer is seeking to join Crook at 1,000 kills, standing at 924 in her collegiate career. The fifth year is unique in all have come as a Rebel and reaching the milestone would put Meyer into the top-10 all-time in the rally scoring era at Ole Miss. Setter Vivianna Samaniego is also chasing a personal milestone, standing 90 assists away from 1,000 assists.

CLIMBING THE LADDER
Shayla Meyer enters her final collegiate season with eyes on the record books. After multiple service aces at No. 4 Kentucky, Meyer moved into a tie for third place in the rally scoring era in service aces and now has 86 in her career. Meyer is seeking to become the eighth Rebel to ever reach 100 service aces.

Her 32 aces in 2025 marked Meyer's second straight season with 30 or more service aces. A third-consecutive 30-ace season would be enough to allow Meyer to become just the second Rebel in the rally scoring era to tally 100 or more service aces and put pressure on becoming the all-time leader in the era.

Additionally, Meyer also has eyes on several longer-term milestones, including 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs. Meyer currently sits at 924 kills and 755 digs in her standout Rebel tenure.

SCOUTING FLORIDA
The 2026 campaign has been a resurgent one for the No. 5 Gators under second year head coach Ryan Theis. After 16 wins in 2025, the Gators have already matched that total this season, featuring big wins over Kentucky, Tennessee and Texas already. With only two losses, to Wisconsin and Vanderbilt on the ledger, the Gators are firmly in the SEC and national title race.

The Gators are stacked at a number of positions, beginning with the success of Kamryn Chaney, who leads the team at 3.69 kills per set and is hitting .271. Opposite Logan King (2.67 kills per set) and middle blocker Alec Rothe (2.50 kills per set and .441 hitting) are key contributors to a lineup set by the dangerous Taylor Parks (10.22 assists per set). Rothe (84.0 blocks) and a team defense averaging 14.17 digs per set make the defense just as potent as the offense.
