OXFORD, Miss. – No. 8 Ole Miss football (2-0) returns to Oxford Saturday as head coach Pete Golding and the Rebels take on No. 7 LSU in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in a top-10 matchup.
The Tigers are coming off of a 45-14 victory last Saturday over Louisiana Tech in Baton Rouge. Saturday's matchup will mark the 115th all-time meeting between the Rebels and the Tigers with the last coming in 2025 resulting in a 24-19 victory for the Rebels in Oxford.
ESPN's College Gameday will return to the Grove for the first time since 2021 when the Rebels defeated the Texas A&M Aggies 29-19.

The Tigers are averaging 48.0 points and 586.0 yards per game while allowing just 12.0 points and 221.5 yards per contest. LSU has been particularly effective on the ground, rushing for 456 yards and eight touchdowns through two games, while the defense has recorded 10 sacks and 17 tackles for loss. Quarterback Sam Leavitt leads the Tigers' offense with 574 passing yards and nine total touchdowns.

Three Players to Watch: Ole Miss Rebels
- Trinidad Chambliss - Chambliss is the key to a Rebels win this weekend. In last year's matchup with the Tigers, the fifth year quarterback went for 314 yards through the air as well as 71 yards on the ground.
- Deuce Alexander - The senior wide receiver continues to be Trinidad's number one target. Alexander leads the Rebels with 13 receptions and 235 yards on the season. In last year's matchup with the Tigers, Alexander caught three passes for 64 yards.
- Jaylon Braxton - The senior cornerback is the anchor of the Rebels secondary. Braxton ranks tied for second on the team with 11 tackles on the season.
- Sam Levitt - The senior transfer quarterback was ranked as the No. 1 overall recruit in the transfer portal this offseason. In three years at Arizona State, Levitt threw for 4,652 yards and 36 touchdowns.
- Trey'Dez Green - The junior tight end stands 6' 7", 237 lbs and leads the Tigers with 162 yards on the season.
- TJ Dottery - The former Rebel leads the Tigers with 14 tackles on the season. Alongside linebacker Whitt Weeks, the Tigers have one of the best linebacker rooms in the country.
