NORMAN, Okla. – Ole Miss men's tennis continues its fall campaign at the ITF Norman tournament from Oct. 26-Nov. 1, marking the Rebels' sixth tournament of the fall season. The Rebels enter the week following a historic performance at the ITA Southern Regional Championship, where Ole Miss swept all three NCAA qualifying spots available to the Southern Region.
Ole Miss made history at the regional tournament, becoming the first team in Southern Region history to sweep both singles qualifying spots and the doubles qualifying spot in the same year. Niccolo Baroni and Igor Kudriashov secured the region's two singles qualifying spots, while Moritz Kudernatsch and Pietro Pampanin claimed the doubles qualifying spot. The achievement gives the Rebels three NCAA qualifiers from the regional championship.
Baroni will be the lone Rebel competing in Norman this week as he looks to build on the momentum from the team's historic regional performance. The tournament provides another opportunity for Baroni to face high-level competition as Ole Miss continues its preparation for the 2027 spring season.
The ITF Norman tournament features professional-level competition, offering players an opportunity to compete for ATP ranking points. The event runs Oct. 26-Nov. 1 at the University of Oklahoma's Headington Family Tennis Center and Gregg Wadley Tennis Pavilion.
Following the week in Norman, the Rebels will continue their fall schedule at the ITA Sectionals in Gainesville, Florida, Nov. 5-8, before the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships take place Nov. 17-22 in Athens, Georgia.
