Men’s Tennis Drops Match to Vanderbilt in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Ole Miss men's tennis competed against Vanderbilt on Saturday afternoon at the Lummis Family Tennis Center in Nashville, falling to the Commodores, 4-0.
The Rebels (11-12, 2-11 SEC) struggled to find momentum on the doubles court and dropped the point to Vanderbilt (9-13, 2-10 SEC), but looked to switch gears to get things rolling on the singles courts.
On court four, Loan Lestir secured a dominant 6-4 first set singles win to find his groove. The freshman dropped his second set, but was ahead in the third 3-0 before the match went unfinished due to Vanderbilt clinching the match.
After dropping his first set, Isac Strömberg secured a dominant 6-1 second set win on court three to force a third.
The Rebels were unable to mount the comeback though and fell at Vanderbilt, 4-0.
Next up, Ole Miss will return home for the Rebels' final regular season matches, hosting a doubleheader event at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center on Friday, April 11 beginning at 10:00 a.m CT with Mississippi Valley State and then Mississippi State at 5:00 p.m. CT.
