Women’s Tennis Drops Road Contest to No. 3 Texas A&M

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Ole Miss women's tennis fell short in its match against No. 3 Texas A&M, 4-0, on Friday afternoon.
The Rebels (9-8, 2-6 SEC) faced a strong Aggie (16-2, 7-1 SEC) lineup in doubles, which led to Texas A&M earning the first point of the match.
All six Rebels faced a sturdy matchup on their respective courts, with five of the six singles opponents holding national rankings. The Rebels fought to put up a few rallies against the ranked Aggies going into their second sets. Junior Emma Kette gained momentum on court six and won five consecutive sets to force a third.
Ultimately, the Rebels fell on three different courts that clinched the match for the Aggies. The Rebels on courts three, four and five dropped their matches while the remaining courts went unfinished.
Up next, the Rebels will travel to compete against No. 13 Texas on Sunday, March 23, at 12 p.m. CT.
