A Second Meeting
This will be the second time this season that the Rebels and the Green Wave face off. Their first match up was at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium on Sept. 20, with Ole Miss earning a 45-10 win. Ole Miss leads the all-time series 46-28 and is currently on a 14-game winning streak against the Green Wave.

History Made
This will be Ole Miss' first appearance in the College Football Playoff. A win would mark the program's first 12-win season in school history. Currently, Ole Miss is 2-1 against teams in the playoff field. The Rebels remained in the playoff rankings throughout the entire season, reaching as high as No. 6 and as low as No. 7.

New Era
Pete Golding has been named the 40th head coach in Ole Miss football program history. He will make his debut in the first-round game against Tulane. Golding has previous College Football Playoff experience, having served as Alabama's defensive coordinator in 2020.

Rebels Dominate
Ole Miss has dominated Tulane in past matchups. In the last three games played against Tulane in Oxford, the Rebels have averaged 51.7 points per game. Those contests came in 2000 (49 points), 2021 (61), and 2025 (45), with Ole Miss winning all three.

Balance
Ole Miss currently has the top offense in the SEC, averaging 498.1 yards per game. The Rebels also lead the conference in passing offense with 306.9 yards per game. Defensively, Ole Miss ranks third in the SEC in passing defense, allowing just 182.6 yards per game, and is 7-0 when holding opponents under 200 passing yards.
