Soccer’s Kate Smith Named to SEC Community Service Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Ole Miss' Kate Smith has been named to the 2025 SEC Community Service Team the conference announced Thursday.
Smith participated in the A Night to Shine program where the Tim Tebow foundations hosts an annual community-wide prom night event for community members with disabilities. She volunteered with RebelTHON in which campus hosts a 12-hour dance marathon to raise funds and awareness for the Children's of Mississippi Hospital.
She also served with Adopt a Basket in which the athletics department donates over 100 Thanksgiving baskets to families in need throughout the Lafayette-Oxford-University Community (LOU). Smith also assisted with the Feed the Sip campaign and helped with the collection and donation of over 14,000 non-perishable food items to children in Tunica and Quitman counties.
Smith led the soccer team and other women's programs of Ole Miss Athletics in visiting with the Oxford Park Commission to mentor and inspire the younger generation in celebration of National Girls and Women's in Sports Day. She is also an active member in Reading with the Rebels where volunteers read to local elementary schools to increase and support reading literacy throughout the state of Mississippi.
The Rebels will be back on the pitch this Sunday at Texas. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. CT on SEC Network+.
