Soccer Earns League Point in Draw Against Kentucky Friday Night
10/10/2025 | Soccer
OXFORD, Miss. โ Ole Miss earned its second league point Friday night in a 1-1 draw against Kentucky. Mila Erceg scored the first goal of her collegiate career and Sidney O'Billovich tallied eight saves in goal.
"Considering the hard stretch that we've been through the last five games, to come out, fight and earn a much-needed point was huge" said head coach Molly Rouse. "The goal now for us is can we catapult that into some momentum over these last three regular season games".
The Rebels would strike first off, the foot of Erceg with a goal in the 40th minute. Kentucky goalkeeper Megan Holland initially got a hand on the try, but Erceg put enough velocity on the ball to beat the Wildcat keeper.
Ole Miss would lead 1-0 at the half.
Kentucky remained patient offensively and capitalized on a golden opportunity in the 56th minute. Kentucky's Catherine Rapp was able to draw a foul inside the box awarding a penalty attempt to the Wildcats. Anna Sikorski would convert the PK try tying things at one.
Each side had chances throughout the second half but were unable to find the game winner.
Sidney O'Billovich made eight saves between the posts giving her an even 50 for the season. Freshman Bella Gray made her first career start and tallied 31 minutes in the midfield.
Ole Miss (4-6-2, 0-5-2 SEC) returns to action next Thursday in the home finale against LSU (8-5-2, 3-2-2 SEC). Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
