NFL Rebels Update: Week 17

OXFORD, Miss. – Here at OleMissSports.com, we are proud to update Rebel fans on the status of our former players who lace up their cleats on Sundays in the NFL.
Eighteen former Rebels saw action in Week 17. Rookie defensive end Cedric Johnson of the Cincinnati Bengals recorded his first career sack, one of two solo tackles in a thrilling 30-24 win in overtime over the Denver Broncos. In the same game, Broncos defensive tackle DJ Jones came up with three tackles, half a sack and a quarterback hit in the loss. Pittsburgh Steeler Mark Robinson has been making an impact on special teams, with his second consecutive week forcing a fumble for that unit. Green Bay Packers receiver Malik Heath also came up big for his team, hauling in his second touchdown catch of the year in the fourth quarter of a narrow 27-25 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

Played six snaps in a loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
#11 A.J. Brown | WR | Philadelphia Eagles
Started at wide receiver, catching three passes for 36 yards and a touchdown in a dominant 41-7 win over the divisional rival Dallas Cowboys. Brown’s 16.1 yards per reception continues to rank highest in the league among receivers with 50-plus catches.
