Six Rebels Projected in First Two Rounds of PFF NFL Mock Draft
12/2/2024 | Football
OXFORD, Miss. – Vaught-Hemingway Stadium has been a hot spot for NFL scouts this season, and it's looking likely that Ole Miss could have its best NFL Draft ever this spring.
Pro Football Focus released its latest three-round NFL Mock Draft, featuring six Rebels selected within the first two rounds, tied with Texas for the most players in the first 64 picks.
PFF tabbed Walter Nolen at No. 16 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Trey Amos at No. 28 to the Minnesota Vikings as the Rebels' two first-round selections, followed by four in the second round: Princely Umanmielen at No. 42 to the Cincinnati Bengals, Chris Paul Jr. at No. 48 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tre Harris at No. 61 to the Philadelphia Eagles and Jared Ivey as the last pick of Round 2 at No. 64 to the Detroit Lions.
Sports Illustrated also recently projected Jaxson Dart as a first-round pick, all of which could make for a special day for Ole Miss football.
The six projected selections by PFF in the first two rounds would tie the program record for most picks during the modern era of the draft, set in 2019. It would also put in jeopardy the overall program record of nine, set in 1971 in a 17-round draft.
