Jaxson Dart Becomes Ole Miss Career Passing Leader
11/29/2024 | Football
OXFORD, Miss. – Jaxson Dart etched his name at the top of another category in the Ole Miss football record books, passing Rebel legend Eli Manning to become the school's all-time leader in career passing yards.
Dart threw for 143 yards in a 26-14 win Friday in the Egg Bowl against Mississippi State to surpass Manning's career mark of 10,119, taking his total to 10,213 as the 2024 regular season concludes.
Dart also ran for 77 yards in the game to become the first Rebel QB to ever break 1,400 career rushing yards, pushing his ground total to 1,455.
The senior from Kaysville, Utah has been named a finalist for the Conerly Trophy, given to Mississippi's best college football player, and the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.
Earlier this season, Dart also surpassed Bo Wallace and Manning for No. 1 in school history in total offense in a record single-game performance at Arkansas. In that win, he also became the winningest QB in program history.

I haven't thought about the record," Dart said. "I was more thinking about taking in all that I could of my last experience playing here. I tried to do it from day one this week to the Walk of Champions to the game. I just appreciate everything that this place has given to me. I hope that people can look back and see that I gave it my all. I think it was special, being able to wait until the Egg Bowl, the rivalry game, and come out with a win.
