SERIES INFORMATION |
• This marked the seventh all-time meeting between Ole Miss and Texas Tech, with the Rebels now holding a 4-3 overall record.
• This was the fourth bowl meeting between the Rebels and Red Raiders ... Ole Miss leads 3-1 with bowl wins in the 1986 Independence Bowl (20-17), the 1998 Independence Bowl (35-18) and the 2009 Cotton Bowl (47-34).
• The last meeting between Ole Miss and Texas Tech actually came at NRG Stadium to open the 2018 season, where the Rebels prevailed 47-27 in the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff.

• Ole Miss finished with 558 yards of total offense, an overall program bowl record that breaks the previous record of 554 set vs. Oklahoma State in the 2016 Sugar Bowl ... Those 558 also rank as the fourth-most in Texas Bowl history and is Ole Miss' seventh 500-yard game of the year.
• Ole Miss tied the team single-season record with its 33rd rushing touchdown of the year ... The record had been set twice before in 1959 and 2021.
• Ole Miss finishes the 2022 campaign averaging 496.4 yards per game, the fourth-best average in school history ... Head coach Lane Kiffin is responsible for three of the five best averages in school history: 2020 (555.5), 2022 (496.4) and 2021 (492.5).
• QB Jaxson Dart was 25-of-41 passing at an Ole Miss bowl record 361 yards and two touchdowns and 66 rush yards ... Dart's 361 yards passing ranks No. 3 all-time in the history of the Texas Bowl, the most since Baylor's Charlie Brewer threw for a record 384 in 2018 ... Dart shattered the Ole Miss bowl record for single-game total offense at 427 yards.
• Dart ends the 2022 season with 4,327 career passing yards, having passed the 4,000-yard plateau on Wednesday ... Dart threw for 2,924 yards and 20 touchdowns in his first season as a Rebel, putting him No. 11 on the Ole Miss single-season list in yards and ninth in touchdowns.
• RB Quinshon Judkins ended the day with 91 rushing yards on 23 attempts ... This was only his third game this year without a touchdown.
• Judkins finishes the season with 1,567 rushing yards, which shattered the previous Ole Miss record of 1,312 set by Kayo Dottley in 1949.
• Judkins also finishes second all-time among SEC freshmen, trailing only the 1980 freshman campaign by Georgia's Herschel Walker, who ran for 1,616 yards in the 1980 regular season ... The NCAA did not recognize postseason stats for season totals until 2002 (Walker ran for 150 yards in the 1981 Sugar Bowl vs. Notre Dame).
• Judkins now ranks No. 11 all-time among all Power-5 freshmen in single-season rushing, the most since 2017 (Jonathan Taylor, Wisconsin, 1,977; AJ Dillion, Boston College, 1,589).
• Judkins ended with 107 all-purpose yards, moving him to No. 3 on the single-season all-purpose list with 1,699 on the year -- the most since Dexter McCluster's 1,717 in 2009.
• RB Zach Evans finished with 37 yards rushing and one touchdown, falling just one yard shy of 2,000 for his career.
• Evans finished the year with 936 yards on the ground, making him and Judkins the first duo in Ole Miss history to rush for 900 yards apiece.
• WR Malik Heath ended the night with 137 yards on eight catches and one touchdown, his fifth 100-yard game of the year ... He ends the season with 971 yards and five scores, putting him No. 8 on the Ole Miss single-season list for yards ... He also ranks fourth all-time at Ole Miss in single-season 100-yard receiving games.
• Heath's 137 receiving yards ranks tied for second in the history of the Texas Bowl, the most since Texas A&M's Josh Reynolds set the record with 154 in 2016.
• WR Jordan Watkins crossed the 1,000 career receiving yard mark on Wednesday, ending the night with four catches for 45 yards and a touchdown.

• DE Tavius Robinson forced two fumbles, making him the first player in Texas Bowl history with multiple forced fumbles in a game ... Robinson is also the first Rebel to do so since Sam Williams forced two against Austin Peay in 2021.
• LB Ashanti Cistrunk ended with a career-high 12 total tackles, tied for No. 6 in Texas Bowl history.
• S Trey Washington recorded his first career interception ... He also tied his career high with nine tackles and set a new career-high with 1.0 TFL.
• CB Miles Battle forced his first career fumble.

• K Jonathan Cruz missed his first PAT since Oct. 21, 2021 vs. Florida Atlantic while a member of Charlotte's team, snapping a streak of 63 in a row.
• At 93 points this season, Cruz ranks 10th on the Ole Miss single-season scoring list ... He ranks No. 7 among all Rebel kickers.
