More NFL Rebels Clinch Playoff Spots
OXFORD, Miss. – Here at OleMissSports.com, we are proud to update Rebel fans on the status of our former players who lace up their cleats on Sundays in the NFL. The Ole Miss football program continues to shine in the professional league with 31 former Rebels on NFL rosters (practice squads included), including star wideouts A.J. Brown, D.K. Metcalf and Elijah Moore.
Evan Engram recorded his second 100-yard receiving game of the season and Metcalf eclipsed the 1,000 yard mark for the second time in his young career. Overall, 21 former Rebels played in the 16th of the 2022 season. Here's a rundown on how each performed:
#34 Brandon Bolden | RB | Las Vegas Raiders
Primarily saw action on special teams, tallying a tackle in the 10-13 loss to the Steelers.
#11 A.J. Brown | WR | Philadelphia Eagles
Hauled in six passes for 103 yards in the 34-40 loss to the Cowboys.
#24 Snoop Conner | RB | Jacksonville Jaguars
Carried the ball twice for five yards in the Jaguars' 19-3 win over the Jets on Thursday night.
#17 Evan Engram | TE | Jacksonville Jaguars
Logged his second 100-yard receiving game of the season, leading the Jaguars with seven catches for 113 yards in the 19-3 win over the Jets. Engram also broke the franchise record for single season receptions by a tight end.
#38 Myles Hartsfield | DB | Carolina Panthers
Tallied four tackles in 56 defensive snaps Saturday as the Panthers picked up a 37-23 win over the Lions.
#98 Marquis Haynes | DE | Carolina Panthers
Batted down a pass and recorded two quarterback pressures in the 37-23 victory over the Lions.
#21 Mike Hilton | CB | Cincinnati Bengals
Finished with five tackles, including one for a loss in the 22-18 win over the Patriots to help the Bengals clinch their second straight playoff bid.
#94 Benito Jones | DT | Detroit Lions
Recorded a pair of tackles as a reserve defensive tackle in the 23-37 loss to the Panthers.
#97 D.J. Jones | DT | Denver Broncos
Appeared on 35 defensive snaps in the 14-51 loss to the Rams.
