Brown has career day receiving
OXFORD, Miss. – Here at OleMissSports.com, we are proud to update Rebel fans on the status of our former players who lace up their cleats on Sundays in the NFL. The Ole Miss football program continues to shine in the professional league with 31 former Rebels on NFL rosters (practice squads included), including star wideouts A.J. Brown, D.K. Metcalf and Elijah Moore.
Tight ends Dawson Knox and Evan Engram came up big, making crucial catches in the fourth quarter to lead their respective teams to victory. Brown also had a career day, racking up 181 yards on nine catches. Overall, 20 former Rebels played in the 15th of the 2022 season. Here's a rundown on how each performed:
#34 Brandon Bolden | RB | Las Vegas Raiders
Saw action on 24 snaps on special teams and recorded a tackle in the 30-24 win over the Patriots.
#11 A.J. Brown | WR | Philadelphia Eagles
Hauled in nine passes for a career-high 181 receiving yards in the 25-20 win over the Bears.
#24 Snoop Conner | RB | Jacksonville Jaguars
Carried the ball once for three yards and added a tackle on special teams in the 40-34 win over the Cowboys.
#17 Evan Engram | TE | Jacksonville Jaguars
Caught eight passes for 62 yards, including a key five-yard grab where he dragged his defender to the sideline to get out of bounds and stop the clock, helping set up the game-tying field goal in regulation. Engram and the Jaguars went on to win 40-34 in overtime.
#38 Myles Hartsfield | DB | Carolina Panthers
Made one tackle in 37 snaps on defense in the 16-24 loss to the Steelers.
#98 Marquis Haynes | DE | Carolina Panthers
Lined up as a reserve defensive end on 17 snaps in the Panthers' loss.
