NFL Rebels Update: Week 16

Hilton Shines on Defense; Treadwell Scores
OXFORD, Miss. – Here at OleMissSports.com, we are proud to update Rebel fans on the status of our former players who lace up their cleats on Sundays in the NFL. Ole Miss has a big presence in the league again this year, and there are currently 27 former Rebels on NFL rosters, including star second-year wide receivers A.J. Brown and D.K. Metcalf.
Mike Hilton has been a focal point for the Steelers' defense this season and he came up big again in the team's victory over the Colts, recording an interception and fumble recovery to set up a touchdown. Laquon Treadwell also found himself in the end zone for the second time in three weeks, catching a touchdown pass in the Falcons' upset bid.
Overall, 16 former Rebels suited up in Week 16. Here's a rundown of how each NFL Rebel performed:
#11 A.J. Brown | WR | Tennessee Titans
Caught four passes for 43 yards in the 40-14 loss to the Packers.
#88 Evan Engram | TE | New York Giants
Hauled in seven passes for 65 yards and added five yards on the ground in the 27-13 loss to the Ravens.
#38 Myles Hartsfield | CB | Carolina Panthers
Recorded three tackles, playing 40 snaps as a reserve free safety in the Panthers' 20-13 win over Washington.
#98 Marquis Haynes | DE | Carolina Panthers
Played over half of the defensive snaps, tallying two tackles and a sack-forced fumble in the 20-13 win over the Washington Football Team.
#28 Mike Hilton | CB | Pittsburgh Steelers
Hilton was a ball hawk in the Steelers' 28-24 win over the Colts. His pressure on a corner blitz allowed teammate T.J. Watt to force a fumble, which Hilton nearly returned for a touchdown. He also came up with a critical interception in the fourth quarter to halt the Colts' comeback attempt.
#95 Benito Jones | DT | Miami Dolphins
Saw limited action on defense and special teams in the 26-25 victory over the Raiders Saturday night.
#93 D.J. Jones | DT | San Francisco 49ers
Tallied his third sack of the season, taking down Kyler Murray in the backfield for a loss of eight yards in the 20-12 win over the Cardinals.
#88 Dawson Knox | TE | Buffalo Bills
Hauled in three passes for 51 yards as the Bills took down the Patriots 38-9 on Monday Night Football.
#14 D.K. Metcalf | WR | Seattle Seahawks
Caught six passes for 59 yards in a 20-9 victory over the Rams. With the win, Metcalf and the Seahawks clinched the NFC West.
#14 Donte Moncrief | WR | New England Patriots
Appeared on special teams, returning four kicks for a total of 74 yards in the 38-9 loss to the Bills.
#33 A.J. Moore | S | Houston Texans
Started at free safety and played all 76 defensive snaps. Moore tallied three total tackles as the Texans fell to the Bengals 37-31.
#49 C.J. Moore | S | Detroit Lions
Primarily saw action on special teams and tallied one tackle at the free safety position in the 47-7 loss to the Buccaneers.
#63 Javon Patterson | OG | Cleveland Browns
Patterson was elevated to the active roster on Saturday and appeared on special teams as the Browns fell to the Jets 23-16.
#80 Laquon Treadwell | WR | Atlanta Falcons
Caught two passes for 11 yards, including a five-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter as the Falcons fell to the Chiefs 17-14.
#78 Laremy Tunsil | OT | Houston Texans
Exited the game early with a foot injury and did not return.
#20 Jordan Wilkins | RB | Indianapolis Colts
Played on special teams and recorded two tackles as the Colts fell to the Steelers 28-24.
