Ole Miss Head Coach Houston Nutt

Opening comments:

"It is the year of the injury. Jeff Scott pulled a calf muscle in pregame warm up, Jeremiah took a hit and didn't
know where he was for awhile, and A.J Hawkins went down. The list goes on and on. I got on them a little bit at
half time and asked them to really step up and finish. I think our defense really showed up that third quarter. On
our offense I think that our backs ran really hard for the most part and I think Nathan Stanley did a good job
handling the ball and the clock. I was proud of Nathan. He did great for not having played all year. Wins are hard to
come by, they are precious. It feels good to win.

On Injuries:

"Jeremiah had a concussion and we always worry about concussions. It was the touchdown run that he made. He
got hit in the head going into the end zone. We won't know his status till Tuesday. We don't know how bad A.J.
Hawkins' ankle is or Jeff Scott's injury. We just want them all at full speed."

On Bryson Rose:

"Bryson has been outstanding; very good and consistent. We are proud of him and his performance."

On the Running Backs:

"It's good to see Enrique Davis back, he is just now getting back to speed. He ran hard and fast tonight. Brandon
Bolden is very valuable because he does so many things for us. I am very proud of both of them. They really took
the load for us and relieved pressure off of Nathan."

Ole Miss Player Quotes

Running Back Brandon Bolden:

On today's performance:

"We were really trying not to be lazy, it could be easy coming in playing the University of Louisiana and think that it would just be a brush-off game, but you have to prepare for this game like you're playing an SEC team."

On touchdown at the end of the game:

"I was thinking to just keep pushing, the offensive line looked at me and said we need to punch this in, we have to put up another touchdown on the board, and we just had to believe in each other and I said I got it. They picked the blocks and I just ran it in."

Running Back Enrique Davis:

On today's performance:

"It was a good day. I just knew I had to follow my offensive line on their blocks and I knew we'd get it done."

What to take from today's win:

"Just to keep fighting, and keep getting better. Next week we have a real good team again and we're just going to have to keep trying to punch it in like we did today."

Kicker Bryson Rose:

How he felt today kicking:

"It felt good, it was an awesome day. Five field goals is a great achievement so I'm very pleased with myself"

On kicking in cold weather:

"To be honest I'm hitting the ball with the top of my foot so it didn't hurt too much, but it did when I hit my toe."

How he felt about today's game:

"Obviously when we're in the red-zone it'd be great to punch it into the end-zone, but I'm glad I got a chance to get out there and put it through the up-rights. But I really owe it to Richie (Contartesi) my holder and Wesley (Phillips) my snapper, they did a great job."

Louisiana Head Coach Rickey Bustle

Opening Comments:

"I thought our team gave a great effort. When you turn the football over in the first half three times it
makes it tough to win a football game. I think we fought our way back and we took one of their turnovers
back before the half and it got us back in the game. I'm really proud of our defense. Five field goals were
kicked tonight. We forced them to stand up there and be men every time just about. They did a nice job
of running the football. I think we finally figured some of it out late in the game. To hold them to five field
goals shows a great effort by our defense. We couldn't get it going offensively in the second half. We
couldn't get any type of rhythm."

On difficulties throughout the game:

"We turned the ball over three times. We couldn't have any big playmakers make plays. They played us
man coverage all night long. We had some good plays on them, but it wasn't exactly what we wanted."

On making it close in the second quarter:

"We were right where we wanted to be. We were close. We knew we would have to come out of the half
and score a few more points to win. I didn't know that we were going to hold them to that many field
goals in the second half."

On finishing the season without hopes of a bowl game:

"I told our guys to keep giving this effort and playing for each other like we are doing. I told them not to let
anybody take their pride. They know we can finish this thing up really strong. We will take it one game at
a time. Even though there are some goals we cannot reach, no one is going to take the pride of this
football team away."

Louisiana Player Quotes

Vernon Wolfe, WR

On the first pick:

"They were sitting on the ball. The ball was kind of high. It is kind of tough to not pick that if you're a good corner back."

Brad McGuire, QB

Feelings after the first drive:

"I give them credit. They are a good team with great defense. They really played a good game but it was just a little thing here, a little thing there and we just couldn't really put it together in the second half it seemed like. We knew what they were doing. They were lining up and not disguising it but we just couldn't put it all together."
