Ole Miss Head Coach Houston Nutt
On the season
"It's been a tough season. It seems like everybody has been getting hurt this year. It has been tough; I really hate it for the seniors. I am disappointed that we will not be playing anymore this year, I just hate it. All I know to do is just get back to work. We knew this was going to be a challenging year, but we did not expect this. We got off to a bad start back in September and it has been an uphill struggle since the first game.
On tonight's game
"MSU had a great defense tonight. Our offense did not do enough to help our defense when they were playing well. That has been our story this year. That is what makes it tough. When our defense is on target our offense isn't. We didn't capitalize on turnovers and opportunities like we should have. But this is a tough league, we know that, and we will be back next year much better and ready to play."

On end of the game
"We stuck with it until the end; we were able to fight hard. We didn't come away with the win but we fought hard. Now we look forward to next year, and we're going to fight hard this offseason."
On next year
"We're going to get better on every page, and we're going to have our best offseason that we have ever had. We will work hard. You have to give credit to Mississippi State, they came out and played hard. Now we can look forward to next year. We have to hit the weights, get conditioned and make sure that we go with all that we have."
Brandon Bolden
On end of the game
"We were just fighting hard, this is one of the toughest leagues in America, and one of the main things you have to do is press on. That's been the theme of the year, just to press on. It's all about heart. Everyone showed their heart, because it's been easy to give up, and nobody gave up. I'm proud of my teammates and everybody for that, we just kept pressing on. We almost came away with it."
On next year
"We have to get in there and work, that's all it is, you have to continue to get in the work room, keep hitting the books, the playbooks, and just keep working. That's what it's all about. Someone out there is always better than you, so you have to keep getting better. If you keep that mindset, it'll turn out alright."
Mississippi State Head Coach Dan Mullen
Opening comment:
"It was a great win for our program, a great win for our seniors. It was great to send them out with a winning record. I thought our kids came out and played hard. I thought we made some critical errors and they took advantage of them. Give them credit, they played hard. In the end we made one more play when we needed to. We have some things that we need to clean up, but we are going to go home and celebrate this win."
On Chris Relf:
"Chris came out early and missed a couple of shots. I thought Chris played well, he came out and did a nice job of setting his feet and throwing the ball. He did a nice job of managing the game. We made some silly mistakes but I thought he did a good job."
On the passing game:
"Their game plan was to take away the run. They had eight guys in the box and were daring us to make plays and our guys did. I thought that was critical for us."
On LaDarius Perkins:
"He had a big night. He is a really explosive player. We are not loaded with play makers. We have guys who make plays, but we are not loaded with play makers and he is one of our play makers. We needed him to step up and he had a huge game. He had some explosive plays that we needed."

LB Chris White
On what was clicking in the first half on the defensive side of the ball for Mississippi State
We were just playing hard we were stopping the run we said we wanted to make Masoli beat us and I think we did a pretty good job of doing that.
On Ole Miss coming back at the end of the game. What was going through your head?
We just had to stop them. We were like how are we letting them back in this game? We did stop them, and that's what counts.
How big was it to come to Oxford and win the Egg Bowl this year?
It is an awesome feeling to send the seniors out right. It is just a great feeling.
On the last drive
It's our job to stop them, and it seems like that sometimes in a two minute drill the offense is clicking and moving the ball and the defense has to just shut them out. That's exactly what we did. It can go either way, but we stepped up big in the end.
OL Quinton Saulsberry
How does it feel to have the trophy back?
It feels real good. We didn't get it back, we just kept it.
On how the O-line held up and allowed the offense to perform so well.
You always have to have a game plan and you stick to that game plan no matter what. We made some errors and so did they, but a win is a win.
Were you surprised LaDarious Perkins had that type of game in him?
No, we know we can open space and make plays, so he can do that.
