8:15 PM: Whoa. The exchange from QB-to-RB was fumbled and recovered by Mike Marry. Huge break for the Rebels who need to capitalize here.

8:10 PM: Ole Miss unable to get anything going on offense. LaDarius Perkins calls for a fair catch at the Mississippi State 15-yard line after a 47 yard punt by Tyler Campbell.

8:03 PM: Even after the fumble Ole Miss' defense holds. Derek DePasquale's 42-yard FG is good. Mississippi State now leads 24-9.

8:01 PM: Big stop to begin the half by Ole Miss defense. Mississippi State's three-and-out ends on a sack of Chris Relf by D.T. Shackelford. The ensuing punt is fumbled by Jesse Grandy and recovered by the Bulldogs at the Ole Miss 31-yard line.

7:59 PM: We're ready to begin the second half in Oxford. David Hankins doing the kicking for Ole Miss. The Bulldogs will take over at their own 21-yard line.

5:52 PM: Pregame bits of tid: The home team has won 10 of the last 11 meetings between the two teams; Ole Miss holds a 54-23-5 advantage in what is now known as the Egg Bowl; All-time, the Rebels hold a 60-40-6 advantage in this series.

5:45 PM: Senior Day festivities are under way here at Vaught-Hemingway. About 20 minutes before kick-off.

5:35 PM: Still 30 minutes until kick-off. Ole Miss is in the navy helmets, navy shirts, and gray pants. Mississippi State is in the maroon helmets, white shirts, and white pants.

5:21 PM: Settled in at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. It's a brisk night in Oxford. Myself and Associate Director of Media Relations Daniel Snowden are discussing the Drive-By Truckers' show in Oxford coming in January. But yes, there's a football game coming up in about 44 minutes.
