OXFORD, Miss. - As Ole Miss welcomes rival Mississippi State to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium Saturday, fans should be aware of new tailgating and existing stadium policies that will help make for an exciting gameday atmosphere.

Kickoff of the Egg Bowl, which is televised by ESPNU, is set for 6 p.m. CT, and the official fan color of the game is blue. The South parking lot opens at noon, and the Rebels' traditional walk through The Grove will be at 3:45 p.m.

GROVE OPENS EARLY

The University of Mississippi campus will open at 7 a.m. Friday for tailgating setup.

The campus normally remains closed to tailgaters on Fridays before home football games so classes and other normal operations are not disturbed. However, since the university is closed for the Thanksgiving holiday, tailgaters can arrive early for the game to set up tents, said Andrew Mullins, chair of the Ole Miss gameday committee.

"We will allow fans to set up for tailgating Friday morning, but people need to be aware that the university is not responsible for any property left unattended on campus," Mullins said. "The university will not provide extra security to watch people's private property."

TICKETS

Individual tickets remain on sale and may be purchased online while available through gameday at the OleMissSports.com ticket site. Ticket orders may also be made through Wednesday at 1 p.m. by calling 662-915-7167 or visiting the Ole Miss Athletics Ticket Office located at Tad Smith Coliseum.

The Gameday Ticket Office is located between the Starnes Center and Athletics Administration building on All-American Drive. Tickets can be paid for with cash, VISA, MasterCard, or check. Cashier windows will open at 4 p.m. and remain open until halftime.

ARTIFICIAL NOISEMAKERS

A reminder that artificial noisemakers are not allowed inside Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Fans will be asked to return prohibited items to their cars before entering the stadium. The Ole Miss Athletics Department will not be responsible for items left at the gate. Items confiscated inside Vaught-Hemingway Stadium may be picked up in the South Endzone first aid station after the game is over.

All fans are asked to utilize the stadium text message system for any prohibited items inside Vaught Hemingway Stadium. Text "Rebs" "issue & location" to 69050 and stadium personnel will respond accordingly. Click here for other stadium policies.
