SERIES INFORMATION

  • This game marked the 65th meeting between the Rebels and Volunteers dating back to 1902. Tennessee holds a 44-19-1 advantage in the series and won 12 straight in the series before last year's 42-17 Rebel win in Oxford. Ole Miss is now 5-25 all time in Knoxville against the Volunteers and its last win came in 1983.

GENERAL NOTES

  • Ole Miss is now 8-2 in November games under head coach Houston Nutt.

OFFENSE

  • Junior running back Brandon Bolden rushed for 113 yards on 12 carries, his fifth 100-yard rushing game of the season. He also scored two touchdowns giving him 11 on the year, which extends his career high this season and is tied for fifth-highest season-single total in Ole Miss history. Bolden now has 20 career rushing scores which is tied for fifth all-time in school history with Randy Baldwin.

DEFENSE

  • Junior Damien Jackson led the Rebels with five tackles (three solo). He also posted 1.0 TFL.
  • Sophomore defensive end Jason Jones recorded a career-high 2.0 QB sacks, while fellow sophomore D.T. Shackelford added 1.0 QB sack and 1.5 TFLs.

SPECIAL TEAMS

  • Sophomore Tyler Campbell punted seven times for a 48.4-yard average. He downed a career-high four punts inside the 20-yard line and also kicked three punts over 50 yards.
