SERIES INFORMATION

  • This game marks the 57th meeting all-time between Ole Miss and Arkansas dating back to 1908. Ole Miss records show the Rebels trailing the series 26-30-1, while Arkansas' records indicate a 31-25-1 advantage for the Razorbacks. Arkansas claims a forfeit victory in a 1914 game that Ole Miss won 13-7.
  • The two teams met almost yearly from 1937-1969 before the series took a hiatus until 1981. The two schools have played yearly since then, and Ole Miss is 11-18-1 against Arkansas since the series resumed. Arkansas holds a 11-8 edge since it joined the SEC in 1992.

FIRST TIME STARTERS: Ole Miss had no first time starters for the first time this season.

GENERAL NOTES

  • The Rebels are now 0-2 this season against ranked foes also having dropped last week's matchup at No. 8 Alabama. Ole Miss is in the midst of a three-game stretch against currently ranked opponents.
  • Before today's game, the last weather delay during an Ole Miss football game was against Wake Forest in 2006. The first weather delay lasted 58 minutes while, the second totaled 31 minutes.

OFFENSE

  • Quarterback Jeremiah Masoli tied a career-high with three touchdown passes in the game. It was the fourth-straight game Masoli has thrown a touchdown pass and his third multi-TD passing game of the season. He also threw for a career-high 327 yards, his first career 300-yard passing game as a Rebel.
  • Masoli also rushed for a team-high 98 yards.
  • Freshman Ja-Mes Logan caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Masoli in the third quarter. It was Logan's first career touchdown. He finished with a career-high with five catches for a career-best 84 yards.
  • Wide receiver Markeith Summers hauled two touchdown passes from Masoli in the fourth quarter of 22 and 43 yards, respectively. It was his third and fourth touchdown catches of the season, which leads the squad, and the second multi-TD game of the season. Summers also posted two touchdown catches against Tulane. He finished the game with three catches for a team-high 104 yards.

DEFENSE

  • Senior Allen Walker picked off a Ryan Mallet pass in the first quarter for the Rebels' second interception of the season. It was Walker's second career interception. Walker also forced a fumble in second quarter, which was recovered by D.T. Shackelford 19 yards.
  • Senior Johnny Brown led the Rebels with season-best 11 tackles (six solo). It was Brown's second double-digit tackle game this season.
  • Senior linebacker Jonathan Cornell added a team-high 2.0 TFLs and leads the squad with 10.0 TFLs on the season, which is a career-high.

SPECIAL TEAMS

  • Sophomore Byron Rose connected on a 22-yard field goal attempt in the second quarter and was 3-for-3 on PATs. Rose is now 36-of-38 on kicks this season, including a perfect 28-for-28 on PATs.
