OXFORD, Miss. Ole Miss head coach Houston Nutt announced the signing of junior college transfer Logan Clair to a national letter of intent on Friday. Clair will join the Rebels in January and have two years of eligibility remaining, beginning in the 2009-10 academic year.

Clair, a 6-foot-5 305 pound offensive lineman, played the past two seasons for head coach Donnie Bigby at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in Miami, Okla., where he earned first team SWJCFC All-Conference honors as a sophomore. A three-star prospect by Rivals.com, Clair played at Mustang High School in Mustang, Okla., before moving to Northeastern Oklahoma.

“We welcome Logan and are very excited about him joining our team,” Nutt said. “We are in need of offensive lineman, because we lose Michael Oher, Darryl Harris and Maurice Miller, so he fills a need for us. The best part is he gets to participate in spring drills.”

Nutt and the Rebels will face No. 8 Texas Tech in the in the 73rd AT&T Cotton Bowl on Jan. 2 in Dallas, Texas. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. and will be televised nationally by FOX.
