Kornegay Tied For Fifth Place Individually

ATHENS, Ga.-- The Ole Miss women's golf team is tied for ninth place Friday after the first round of the 2001 Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic. The Lady Rebels shot a first round score of 319 and are tied with Furman for ninth position.
Duke has the opening day lead with a first round score of 291.
Ole Miss' Marci Kornegay is tied for fifth place individually with an season-best round of 73. Bernadette Luse fired an opening day score of 78 and is tied for 27th place. Teresa Brown, Elizabeth Hoffman, and Kerrie Davis are tied for 69th place with an opening round score of 84.
Second round play is slated for Saturday with final round action on Sunday at the University of Georgia Golf Course.
