No. 20 Women’s Golf Closes Fall Season at Illini Women’s Invitational

OXFORD, Miss. – No. 20 Ole Miss women's golf closes its fall schedule Oct. 12-13 at the Illini Women's Invitational at Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Illinois.

Head coach Kory Henkes and the Rebels enter their fourth tournament of the season after finishing runner-up at The Ally. Ole Miss has placed inside the top two in two of its first three events this fall.

The 54-hole tournament begins Monday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. CT. Teams will play 36 holes continuously before Tuesday's final round begins with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.

THE FIELD
UC Irvine, UCF, College of Charleston, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kent State, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Ole Miss, Rice, TCU, Texas Tech and Wisconsin.

Ole Miss enters the tournament at No. 20 in the latest WGCA Coaches Poll and is the lone top-25 program in the 15-team field.

LAST TIME OUT
Ole Miss earned its second runner-up finish of the season at The Ally, posting an even-par 576 across two rounds at Old Waverly Golf Club.

The final round was canceled due to illness among the competing teams, making the 36-hole standings final.

Herman paced the Rebels with a third-place finish at 4-under 140. Svarvar tied for 17th at 2-over 146, while Björkman and Lundqvist shared 32nd at 4-over 148. Miller rounded out the Ole Miss lineup in a tie for 45th at 6-over 150.

The runner-up performance marked the Rebels' second top-two finish of the fall after Ole Miss also placed second at the season-opening Boilermaker Classic.

THE LINEUP

1. Mary Miller (Jr.)
Enters the tournament with a 72.00 stroke average through eight rounds this season.

Has collected two top-10 finishes, tying for fifth at the Boilermaker Classic and ninth at the Cougar Classic.

Earned second-team All-SEC honors in 2025-26.

2. Matilda Björkman (So.)
Owns a 73.13 stroke average through eight rounds this fall.

Tied for 32nd at The Ally with a 4-over 148.

Has appeared in the Ole Miss lineup at each of the Rebels' first three tournaments.

3. Kajsalotta Svarvar (Jr.)
Ranks second on the team with a 71.88 stroke average through eight rounds.

Tied for fifth at the Boilermaker Classic and finished tied for 17th at The Ally.

Earned WGCA and Golfweek honorable mention All-America honors in 2025-26.

4. Ebba Lundqvist (Fr.)
Has competed in all eight rounds for Ole Miss during her first collegiate season.

Tied for 32nd at The Ally after carding a 4-over 148.

Carries a 74.75 stroke average into the fall finale.

5. Lisa Herman (Fr.)
Leads the Rebels with a 71.00 stroke average through eight rounds.

Has earned two top-three finishes in her first three collegiate events, placing second at the Boilermaker Classic and third at The Ally.

Finished The Ally at 4-under 140 following rounds of 68 and 72.

Sophie Linder (Sr.) – Individual
Averages 72.00 strokes through six rounds this season.

Tied for 15th at the Cougar Classic with an even-par 213.

Carded a career-low 8-under 64 during the final round of the Boilermaker Classic, the third-lowest 18-hole score in program history.

LOOKING AHEAD
Ole Miss will return to competition Jan. 31-Feb. 2 at the Grand Reserve Dominican Republic Classic in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
