No. 19 Ole Miss Women’s Golf Finishes Second at Boilermaker Classic

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The No. 19-ranked Ole Miss women's golf team finishes second at the Boilermaker Classic, carding a (859, -5) while placing five players inside the Top 25, including three in the top five.
The Rebels put together a strong performance on the final day, shooting 8-under in the third round. Ole Miss was one of just two teams to finish the round under par, joining Miami, who carded a 10-under-par to finish atop of the leaderboard with a (854, -10) total.
Lisa Herman put together an impressive tournament debut, carding a three-round total of (211, -5) to finish runner-up. Herman recorded 12 birdies throughout the tournament and added an eagle from the fairway, showcasing a strong all-round performance in her first collegiate event.
Kajsalotta Svarvar and Mary Miller both finished tied for fifth, each posting a three-round total of (215, -1). Svarvar put together a strong third round, posting a 4-under 68 after stringing together three birdies on the back nine. Miller closed out the tournament with an even-par round to secure her spot alongside Svarvar in the top five.
Matilda Björkman also finished under par, carding a 2-under 70 in her final round to close out the tournament tied for 16th overall.
Ebba Lundqvist closed out the tournament with an even-par 72 in the third round to finish tied for 25th overall.
Individually, the Rebels saw a standout performance from senior Sophie Linder, who set a new career-low 18-hole score with an 8-under 64. Linder's impressive round ranks as the third-lowest 18-hole score in Ole Miss program history.
Ole Miss will return to action Sept. 7-8 at the Cougar Classic in Hanahan, South Carolina, hosted at Yeamans Hall Club.
