George Tabbed to Softball America May Position Power Rankings

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss softball freshman Madi George has added yet another national recognition to her ledger, earning a place in Softball America's May position power rankings.
George was named the No. 12 ranked outfielder in the nation in the latest power rankings. It marks the third consecutive month in the national rankings for George, who ranked No. 19 in April's list before a massive month at the plate.
The freshman's huge month of April has only grown her national profile. George is hitting .442 with 11 home runs and 25 RBI, as well as a pair of doubles and six walks in April alone.
The reigning National Freshman of the Week across three different publications, George is up to a .400 batting average, as well as program record 21 home runs and 56 RBI on the season.
George and the Rebels are back in action on Thursday, hosting No. 16 Mississippi State for the first of three games. Game one is set for 6 p.m. CT and will be streamed via SEC Network Plus.
