Track & Field’s Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan Named SEC Men’s Co-Field Athlete of the Week
2/3/2026 | Track and Field
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Ole Miss track & field All-American senior Tarik Robinson-O'Hagan has been named the co-winner of the SEC Men's Field Athlete of the Week award, as announced by the conference office announced on Tuesday afternoon.
The three-time NCAA champion reset his own national collegiate lead in the shot put last week at Clemson's Bob Pollock Invitational, launching an overall career-best 21.18m/69-6. This season, that blast ranks him third among all Americans and fourth on the world list. All five of his legal throws traveled at least 20.71m/67-11.50, an impressive feat compared to his prior national lead entering of 20.76m/68-01.50.
Robinson-O'Hagan's performance improved upon his spot at No. 2 in SEC history and No. 20 in collegiate history indoors, and it has him within striking distance of becoming the first 70-footer indoors in conference history. His new shot put PR also improved his career indoor shot/weight throw combined best to 45.53m, second in collegiate history only to North Dakota State's Peyton Otterdahl from 2019 (45.92m). Robinson-O'Hagan has not lost a shot put competition to a fellow collegian indoors since the 2024 Razorback Invitational.
He was also the top collegiate finisher in the weight throw at Clemson last week, finishing runner-up at 23.43m/76-10.50. He still leads the SEC and ranks third nationally at his season-debut 23.78m/78-00.25.
Both Rebel squads will hit the road this week for the New Mexico Classic, which is set to run Feb. 6-7 in Albuquerque.
