Men’s Tennis Hosts Arkansas for First Home SEC Matchup Before Traveling to Play LSU

2/26/2026 | Men's Tennis

OXFORD, Miss.– Ole Miss Men's Tennis prepares for a weekend full of tennis, beginning with hosting Arkansas before traveling to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to take on LSU.
Ole Miss No. 34 (12-2, 0-2 SEC) is coming off two hard-fought losses against No. 14 Texas A&M and No. 33 Oklahoma.

The Rebels will host their first conference match against No. 30 Arkansas (10-3, 0-1) on Friday, Feb. 27, at 3 p.m. at the Palmer Salloum Tennis Center.

Arkansas features No. 18 Jakub Vrba, who showed poise during their match against Memphis this past week with a singles win against Maxime Dubouch, 6-3, 6-4. In doubles, Vrba, alongside his partner Connor Smillie are ranked as the No. 66 doubles pairing per ITA rankings.

Following its Friday matchup, Ole Miss will face off against No. 7 LSU (10-2, 1-1 SEC) on Sunday at the LSU Tennis Complex at 12 p.m.

The Tigers enter the matchup with two ranked singles players, No. 53 Erik Arutiunian and No. 102 Andrej Loncarevic. Loncarevic is coming off a notable performance against Alabama, where he defeated No. 90 Matic Kriznik. LSU also comes in with No. 63 doubles pairing of Matias Ponce de Leon and Erik Artutiunian.
