2/21/2026 | Rifle

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss rifle put forth a strong closing effort in the NCAA Qualifier against Memphis, winning 4738-4703 on Saturday morning at the Ole Miss Rifle Range.

The Rebels (10-2) have won their third consecutive match against Memphis in the span of a week. In doing so, Ole Miss secured its 10th victory of the season for the second year in a row. It marks the fourth time a Rebel squad has reached double-digit wins in a season ever.

The Rebels are on a seven-match winning streak when taking head-to-head matches into account, which is the longest such streak since the 2020-21 season. They have scored at least 4730 in six matches this season, which is the most in program history. Ole Miss is averaging 4730.5 aggregate points per match this season, which is Ole Miss' highest ever, and it has yet to fall below 4700 in aggregate scoring so far this season.

All four counting scores were at least 1180 to contribute to Ole Miss' victory. The top three aggregate scorers of the match were Ole Miss' dominant trio of Audrey Gogniat, Gracie Dinh and Jordan de Jesus. Gogniat earned the top spot with an 1189 aggregate, while Dinh and de Jesus tied at 1185. Dinh won the tiebreaker with 90 center shots to earn the silver medal.

Ole Miss has now emerged victorious in the past nine NCAA Qualifiers, with this year's team score being the highest in that span. It's the third season in a row that Ole Miss defeated Memphis in the NCAA Qualifier, as the Rebel's national tournament bid remained strong.

With Ole Miss' 4738 score, it's deciding average shifts to 4743.3. The Rebels now look to reach their sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament berth, and will learn their fate during the National Collegiate Rifle Selection Show on Monday, Feb. 23 at 5 p.m. CT.

Ole Miss strung together an all-around impressive performance in the first event of the day. The top four scorers in the first relay were all Rebels, led by Gogniat, de Jesus and Regan Diamond, who each scored 589 for the day. Gogniat paced the field in center shots with 35. Gracie Dinh rounded the scoring with a 588-point effort to claim fourth.

Gogniat remained on target in air rifle, firing a 10 in her first 34 shots of the event. She finished the day with a 598 in the event, securing an 1189 aggregate. Dinh rebounded in the event with a 597 score to earn her aggregate and de Jesus followed just behind with a 596. The trio finished first, second and third in the air rifle individual rankings at the end of the competition.

Diamond rounded the scoring with a 591, giving Ole Miss a 2383 score in the event. That's tied for the sixth largest total in the air rifle event in program history. It also clinched Ole Miss' dominant victory.

Gretchen Schleinkofer highlighted Ole Miss' efforts in the second relay. She fired career highs in smallbore and aggregate scoring, with 589 and 1178, respectively. Her smallbore tally tied Gogniat for the top score of the day, with the teammates each shooting 35 center shots. Claudia Muzik also tied a season high in air rifle, firing a 592 score.

The Rebels will learn their fate during the National Collegiate Rifle Selection Show on Monday, Feb. 23 at 5 p.m. CT. If selected, Ole Miss will travel to Columbus, Ohio, for the NCAA Tournament taking place from March 13-14.
