Men’s Tennis Secures 12th Consecutive Win

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss men's tennis comes back to defeat Belmont, 6-1 on Sunday afternoon at the William F. Galtney Indoor Tennis Center.
Ole Miss (12-0) trailed, 0-1, after Belmont (5-4) won the doubles point, until in singles, when Noah Schlagenhauf defeated Will Ecklund, 6-1, 6-0, knotting the match at 1-1.
Benjamin Martin would follow, for he defeated Bautista Durrels Rojo, 6-0, 6-2, giving Ole Miss a 2-1 advantage.
Stefano D'Agostino then set up a chance to clinch the match for Ole Miss after he defeated Charlie Robin, 6-1, 6-4.
Ole Miss was in control, leading 3-1, when Vlado Jankanj delivered the clinching point after he fended off Austin Yack, 6-3, 6-2.
The final two remaining singles matches were played out, Pietro Pampanin defeated Stefan Vedovelli, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4. Soon after Matthieu Chambonniere scored the final match point for Ole Miss, for he defeated Sabi Roi,7-6 (7-4), 7-5.
Ole Miss will hit the road as it travels to College Station, Texas, to take on its first Southeastern Conference opponent, Texas A&M, on Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Mitchell Tennis Center.
