Men’s Golf Returns to Action in New York for the Hamptons Intercollegiate

EAST HAMPTON, New York – The Ole Miss men's golf team returns to action at the Hamptons Intercollegiate after an impressive showing last week at the Bryan Bros Collegiate, where the Rebels claimed their first team title of the season.

MAIDSTONE CLUB HISTORY
Founded in 1891, the Maidstone Club will be the site for the two-day event. Located in the small village of East Hampton, Maidstone has been consistently rated among the Top 100 courses in the country. Across the 130 acres the course introduces multiple hazards at various angles, including a marsh, hook pond, sand dunes, beach grass, reeds, bunkers, and ever-present wind. The track is set to play par-72 at 6,742 yards.

WINNERS IN SOUTH CAROLINA
In their most recent outing at the Bryan Bros Collegiate, the Rebels captured their first team title of the season, finishing with a team score of 833 (-19). Collins Trolio led the way for Ole Miss with a second-place finish, while Eduardo Matarazzo tied for fifth and Cooper Claycomb tied for ninth to round out the Rebels' top finishers. Following the impressive team victory, Ole Miss turns its attention to the Hamptons Intercollegiate, set for Oct. 5-6 at the historic Maidstone Club in East Hampton, New York.
PRESEASON BUZZ
Ole Miss entered the season with plenty of preseason momentum after earning a spot in all major preseason rankings and was ranked as high as No.19 by the Golf Channel. Cooper Claycomb also received preseason recognition, after being ranked No.23 in the PGA Tour University Rankings.
RECAP OF 2025-26
Last season, the Rebels made history by capturing their first SEC Championship since 1984, finishing the year ranked No.9 nationally and earning the No. 8 seed at the NCAA Championship in Carlsbad, California. The historic campaign also saw head coach Chris Malloy named the 2026 SEC Coach of the Year and recognized as a finalist for the Dave Williams Award. Ole Miss would go on to graduate three seniors, and retain four key contributors in Collins Trolio, Finn Meister, Daniel Tolf, and Jacob Blanton, and add five newcomers, including three transfers and two freshmen to round out this new look roster.
