No. 23 Women’s Golf Leads After Two Rounds at Boilermaker Classic

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The No. 23 Ole Miss women's golf leads after two rounds at the Boilermaker Classic. The Rebels posted (578, +2) and hold a two-stroke lead over Indiana. Matilda Björkman leads Ole Miss at two-under and is tied for second. Five Rebels sit inside the top 25 heading into tomorrow's final round.
In round one it was Björkman who posted an impressive five-under 67 in her debut round. The freshman started fast, birding four of her first six holes to gain the early lead. Filippa Sundquist opened her season with a round of one-under 71.
Ole Miss shot even par as a team and sat one off the lead after 18 holes of play.
Kajsalotta Svarvar had the low round for the Rebels in round two, firing a three-under 69. She sits at even par and tied for sixth. Nicole Gal battled back after a tough opening round, carding a two-under 70 in round two.
Ole Miss led the field in birdies (34) and par 5 scoring (4.75) on the day. The final round will begin Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. CT with a shotgun start.
