No. 14 Ole Miss Women’s Golf Preps for NCAA Championships

CARLSBAD, Calif. – Ole Miss women's golf is set to tee off at the 2025 NCAA Championships, May 16-21, at the Omni La Costa North Course. This marks the third consecutive year the Rebels have made it to the final event and the sixth time in program history.
The 156-person field is comprised of 30 teams along competing for the overall title with six women who qualified for the individual championship.
Players will first compete in three 18-hole rounds of stroke play competition from Friday to Sunday. Following the third round, the field will be cut to the top 15 teams and the top nine individuals of non-advancing teams for Monday.
Monday's fourth round of stroke play will take place, at which point the 2025 individual national champion will be crowned. Following the fourth round, the field will be cut to the top eight teams who will move on to match play beginning Tuesday morning, which will be seeded in order of finish in stroke play.
A knockout match play competition will then take place to determine the 2025 team national champion. Quarterfinal and semifinal match play rounds will be held Tuesday, May 20, with the Championship set for Wednesday, May 21.

FORMAT
Play consists of four days of stroke play (18 each day) starting Friday, which first features a 54-hole cut with the top 15 teams and nine individuals on a non-advancing team a spot on Sunday to play in the final round of stroke play on Monday. After the final 18 holes, the top 8 teams will advance to match play and a 72-hole individual champion is crowned. The team national champion will be determined by a match play format featuring the quarterfinals and semifinals conducted on Tuesday, followed by the finals on Wednesday.
HOW TO WATCH
Golf Channel will start its broadcast of the tournament on Monday, May 19 for the final round of stroke play starting at 5 p.m. Then Tuesday, May 20 quarterfinal coverage will go from noon-2:30 p.m. CT followed by the semifinals broadcast starting at 5 p.m. CT. The finals match broadcast begins at 5 p.m. CT on Wednesday, May 21.
REBELS IN THE RANKINGS
The Rebels head to California coming in at No. 14 in the Scoreboard rankings powered by Clippd both and No. 16 in the Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll. The team is led by Macnab who sits in the No. 27 slot for individual rankings. Gal and Svarvar also all find themselves placed in the top 200 college golfers across the country, being ranked No. 74 and No. 123 respectively.
THE COURSE
The 2025 NCAA Championships will take place on the North Course at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa for the second of three straight years. The North Course, formerly known as the Champions Course, is a par 72 course that will measure 6,330 for the national championships.
Before hosting the NCAA Championships for the first time in 2024, the North Course underwent a dramatic redesign by renowned golf course architect Gil Hanse.
LAST TIME OUT
Ole Miss is coming off a second place finish at the NCAA Charlottesville Regional, posting a 54-hole score of 861 (+9). Four players finished inside the top 25, led by freshman Kajsalotta Svarvar, who finished third individually. Svarvar had the low 54-hole score for Ole Miss, posting a 212 (-1) at Birdwood Golf Course. The third place finish marks the best of her freshman campaign.
