EYES ON THE PRIZE
The Rebels hold the No. 14 seed in this year's SEC tournament, putting Ole Miss head-to-head with Arkansas for one of the three first round matches of the 2025 SEC Championship. With a win Wednesday, the Rebels would advance to play No. 6 Florida (13-10, 8-6 SEC) on Thursday, April 17 at 5:00 p.m CT. If Ole Miss captures the win against the Gators, it will square off against the No. 3 seeded hosts South Carolina (17-6, 11-3 SEC) on Friday, April 18 at 5:00 p.m CT.

With a victory against the Gamecocks, Ole Miss would advance into the SEC Semifinals for the first time since 2015. A Saturday win would punch the Rebels' ticket to Championship Sunday, which is set to take place on Sunday, April 20 at 3:00 p.m. CT, airing on SEC Network.

FRESHMAN YEAR PHENOM
Matthieu Chambonniere has had a historic freshman campaign thus far. The Paris, France, native boasts a 23-7 season record on the singles courts which is a 76% win rate, marking the most successful freshman campaign since current Ole Miss assistant coach Kalle Norberg. In 2007 Norberg won 88% of his singles matches throughout his rookie Rebel season. Additionally, if Chambonniere notches one more singles win, he will tie Adrian Forberg Skogeng with the most wins by a freshman (24) in the last 15 seasons.

REBELS IN THE RANKINGS
Isac Strömberg and Kai Milburn made some noise earlier in the season on the doubles courts after defeating Auburn's 13th-ranked pair of Billy Blaydes and Will Nolan, 7-6 (7-5). Since then, the duo has captured four other ranked wins, the most by any Rebel pairing this year. Strömberg and Milburn have stayed consistent and most recently made their way up to the No. 64 spot in the ITA rankings. The duo boasts a 6-6 record on the 2025 campaign, only playing on court No. 1.

WHITWELL NAMED TO SEC COMMUNITY SERVICE TEAM
Recognized for his dedication to serving the Oxford community, Gordon Whitwell has been named to the SEC Community Service Team, the Southeastern Conference announced last Thursday. Whitwell has demonstrated a high level of commitment to Lafayette County and the state of Mississippi. The Rebel is involved in several local initiatives such as Feed the Sip, Reading with the Rebels, adopt a basket, elementary morning carpool, while being a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). The Oxford, Mississippi, native is continuously finding ways to give back and is dedicated to making an impact within the community around him.

TEAM PROFILE
Jay Udwadia is in his third year at the helm of the Razorback men's tennis program. In just his second season at the reins, Udwadia led the Razorbacks to a historical 2023-24 season, including a nine-win improvement from the 2022-23 season, the program's first NCAA Tournament berth since 2021, and the most wins in a season since 1986 (21). The No. 44  Razorbacks hold a 17-3, 4-10 SEC record in the 2025 season. Arkansas has one lone ranked singles player, Lukas Palovic at the No. 56 slot and the No. 24 ranked pair of Connor Smillie and Jakub Vrba who hold a 15-8 record on the season in doubles.

Ole Miss fell to Arkansas earlier in the season in a close 4-3 match in Fayetteville. Marcel Kamrowski and Noah Schlagenhauf secured a dominant 6-2 win over Arkansas' Marino Jakic and Lukas Palovic to notch the lone victory on the doubles court for Ole Miss. Isac Strömberg captured a 6-4, 6-2 singles win on the day over Marino Jakic. Freshman Matthieu Chambonniere mounted a 6-7 (3-7), 6-4, 6-1 comeback over his opponent Benni Emesz on court five.
