CHARLESTON, S.C. - Competing in her first NCAA Championships, Ole Miss rifle freshman Kamilla Kisch fired a 584 and finished in 40th place in air rifle at the McAlister Field House at The Citadel, Saturday.

Kisch turned in a 95 in her first relay, but bounced back for a 100 on her second relay. She followed with 97s on the next three relays and concluded with a 98 on the final relay for a 584 total.

Kentucky's Henrik Larsen won the individual air rifle title with a 596 and then a 249.4 in the final. He helped lead the Wildcats to the NCAA title with a combined aggregate of 4717, dethroning the defending NCAA Champs, West Virginia, who finished second at 4708.

A look at Kisch's First Year at Ole Miss
Kisch shot a personal best 596 (one off the school record) at the NCAA Qualifier held in Oxford on Feb. 17 and was one of four individuals selected to compete at the NCAA Championships in air rifle. She became the second Rebel freshman to qualify for the NCAA Championships joining two-time All-American Alison Weisz, who qualified in 2014 as a freshman.

In her first GARC Championships, Kisch joined fellow freshman Emily Cock in the finals of air rifle and finished seventh. She helped the Rebels to third in air rifle and fourth overall. Kisch ranks second on the team with a 588.9 average in air rifle, right behind senior Jessica Haig. She posted a score in the 590s six times this season.
