Rebels Conclude Individual Play at Mercedes Benz Championship

Final Results
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Alison Hovatter (Meridianville, Ala.), Maria Toennessen (Grimstad, Norway) and Sofia Idoyaga (Buenos Aires, Argentina) of the Ole Miss women's golf team competed at the Mercedes Benz Championship as individuals over the weekend.
Hovatter led the charge for the Rebels finishing tied for 22nd place with a three-day score of 224 (78-70-76 - 224), while Idoyaga and Toennessen both finished tied for 84th with a three-day score of 248. Idoyaga fired rounds of 83, 84 and 81, while Toennessen fired rounds of 85, 76 and 87.
All three individuals played very well during the second round, each posting their best rounds in second-day action. Hovatter fired a 70, her best round of the season. Additionally, the Alabama native's three-day score of 224 marks her best 54-hole score of the season.
The Ole Miss women's golf team will head to the Jim West Challenge in Boerne, Texas Nov. 1-3 hosted by Texas State University.
