Rebel Duo Tied For 8th At Hooters Team Championship

DAHLONEGA, Ga. - Ole Miss women's golfers Jillian Brodd and Haley Millsap shot an even par 72 in the first round of the National Golf Coaches Association Hooters Collegiate Team Championship Tuesday and are tied for eighth here at the Achasta, by Reynolds.
Brodd, a senior, and Millsap, a junior, were 3-over through nine, but birdied four of the first six on the back nine, including the par-5 14th and 15th holes to get it to 1-under. They would bogey the 18th for a 72.
Seven teams found their way under par during the opening round, while the team of Brooke Pancake and Jennifer Kirby from the University of Alabama took home honors with the low round (68) of the day in the alternate shot format.
The other Rebel team of junior Ashley Lance and sophomore Haley Sanders are tied for 24th with a first round 77.
