OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss golfer Natalie Gleadall was recently named the Golf Digest/GolfWorld Mid-Season Most Improved player. She was also named to the SEC Fall Golf Honor Roll.

Gleadall won the season-opening Cougar Classic and earned two other top five finishes. She took runner-up at the Mercedes Benz Championship with a career-best 207. Gleadall's 72.83 stroke average is 5.57 shots lower than her total from last spring, when her best showing was a T-45 at the Rebel Invitational. She posted six rounds under par and four rounds in the 60s this fall.

Wanting to improve after last spring, Gleadall spent the summer working on her swing with noted instructor Hank Johnson. It paid off as Gleadall finished eighth in the Ontario Women's Amateur and T-18 at the Canadian Women's Amateur.

"Natalie started clicking on all cylinders and she brought it to school [this fall]," head coach Michele Drinkard said. "You could see it when she stepped on campus. She had the confidence and was ready to go."

The Rebels will open the spring season Feb. 13-15 at the UCF Challenge in Orlando, Fla.
