Women's Golf Concludes Day One Of Cougar Classic

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Ole Miss women's golf team finished day one of play at the Cougar Classic at Yeaman's Hall in 15th place with a 605 total. Senior Sara Grantham led the Rebels with a 151.

Grantham shot 73 in the first round, but came back with a 77 in the second round and is tied for 45th. The Rebels shot a 302 in the first round and followed that up with a 303 in the second round.

Georgia came within one stroke of setting a tournament record with a 280 in the first round and followed it up with a 283 in the second to take a 14-stroke lead after two rounds. The Bulldogs finished the day with a 563, while Florida State and Furman tied for second with a 575 apiece.

Florida State's Lacey Agnew leads all individuals with an eight-under par 136 after firing a tournament record 65 in the second round. Georgia's Marta Silva Zamora is second with a six-under par 138.

Two players hit holes-in-one Sunday, with Furman's Jackie Hilea posting one during the first round on hole 16. USF's Ana Joaquina hit one during the second round on hole six.
