Women's Golf To Compete In Johnie Imes Invite

OXFORD, Miss. The Ole Miss women’s golf team begins competing in the second annual Johnie Imes Invitational Monday at the Club of Old Hawthorne in Columbia, Mo. In just its second year, this two-day event hosted by the University of Missouri, has grown from 10 teams in the inaugural year to 17 in 2008.

 

Two 18-hole rounds will take place on Monday and the final 18-holes will wrap-up the tournament on Tuesday. All three rounds will be played in a shotgun format.

 

Senior Dori Carter will lead the Lady Rebels.  She tied for 14th at the Cougar Classic, in the first tournament of the year.  Joining Carter will be junior Sara Grantham, freshman Haley Millsap, sophomore Jillian Brodd and making her Rebel debut, freshman Ashley Lance.

 

The field includes Mississippi State, Kansas, Iowa, Princeton, Memphis, Florida International and Arkansas-Little Rock, to name a few.
