Carter Continues To Lead Lady Rebels At Cougar Classic

HANAHAN, S.C. Senior Dori Carter shot a 72 in the second round of the Cougar Classic Monday, and continues to pace the Ole Miss women’s golf team at the Yeaman’s Hall Club.

 

Carter is tied for 21st with a 74-72--146.  She carded an eagle in the first round and is one of six players to have an eagle in the tournament.  In Monday’s round, the All-American posted four birdies.  She is two shots back of the top 20 and four out of the top 10.

 

Freshman Haley Millsap turned in a 74, junior Sara Grantham, fired an 80,  and freshman Kirsty Rands finished with an 81 to round out the Lady Rebel scoring.

 

Georgia shot a 279 in the second round and leads the field at 567, three ahead of Virginia (580).  Alabama sits in third at 581, South Carolina stands fourth at 586, and LSU is fifth at 587.

 

The Lady Rebels will tee off the final round Tuesday beginning at 7:45 a.m. CT.
