Three Lady Rebel Golfers Advance At Tennessee State Amateur

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. Three members of the Ole Miss women’s golf team are competing in the Tennessee State Amateur Championship this week at the Honors Course in Chattanooga, Tenn. 

 

Rising sophomore Jillian Brodd, upcoming senior Rachel Ingram and incoming transfer Ashley Lance are competing this week.  Brodd and Lance both finished in the top five in stroke play qualifying on Monday.  Brodd, a native of Knoxville, shot an even-par 72 to finish second, and Lance posted a 74 for fourth.

 

In Tuesday’s first round of the Championship Flight, Lance (Franklin) advanced, while Brodd lost. 

Lance, who will join the team in the fall, defeated Kaitlyn Hutcherson 2 up, and will face Morgan McQuary in the second round Wednesday at 8:24 a.m.   Ingram beat Evelyn Blackmon 2 & 1 in the second flight and will meet Caitlin Fortner at 11:12 a.m.
