Ole Miss Women's Golf Continues Play At Lady Paladin

GREENVILLE, S.C. The Ole Miss women’s golf team shot a 316 on the second day of the Lady Paladin Invitational and stands in 14th place after two rounds, heading into Sunday’s final round.

 

The TCU women’s golf team fired a second round 297 to claim first place and a seven-stroke advantage over first round leader East Tennessee State after two rounds of play at the Furman University Golf Course.

 

Four TCU golfers carded rounds of 75 or better, including Prisela Campbell’s one-over-par 73.   Laura Jansone (71-73--144) of ETSU posted a one-over 73 on Saturday to overtake UNC-Wilmington’s Carmen Perez-Narbon for the individual lead.

 

Junior Dori Carter led Ole Miss with a second-round 76. Freshman Jill Brodd fired a 79, sophomore Sara Grantham posted an 80, senior Katherine Jones finished with an 81, and junior Rachel Ingram turned in an 83.

 

The 54-hole tournament will conclude on Sunday with a shotgun start scheduled for 9 a.m.
