Carter Finishes 19th At Lady Paladin

GREENVILLE, S.C.. Lady Rebel sophomore Dori Carter (77-77-80234) finished 19^th at the Lady Paladin Invitational Sunday, to lead the Ole Miss women’s golf team at the Par 72, 6,103-yard Furman University Golf Course. 

For Carter, a native of Valdosta, Ga., this marks the second tournament this season that she has led the Lady Rebels in scoring, and her second top 20 showing of the fall.   She fired a personal best 218 to finish tied for seventh and lead Ole Miss at the opening tournament, the  Jeannine McHaney Intercollegiate.

Freshman Sara Grantham turned in a final round 77 to tie for 38 at 239.  Rounding out the Ole Miss scoring, Katherine Jones finished with a 245, Katie Davidson posted a 251 and Andrea Buccilla turned in a 264 as the Lady Rebels came in 14^th with a 318-329-321--968.

Northwestern (302-303-307--912) took first place with a 12 stroke advantage over Memphis and the Wildcats’ Alice Kim (70-70-76--216) finished at even par to grab individual honors Sunday.

The Lady Rebels will return to the links Oct. 16-17 at the GSU/Pelican Preserve Invitational in Ft. Myers, Fla.
