Day One Of Derby Invitational Washed Out

AUBURN, Ala. The Ole Miss women’s golf team got a chance to celebrate head coach Meghan Bolger’s U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship Friday, as day one of the Derby Invitational hosted by Auburn at the Par 72, 6,310-yard Auburn University Club was rained out.  The teams will try again Saturday with a shotgun start at 11 a.m.

 

This year’s field features No. 5 Auburn, No. 7 Tennessee, No. 15 Florida, No. 16 North Carolina and No. 20 Florida State. Rounding out the field are LSU, Furman, South Carolina, Nebraska, Alabama, Baylor, Birmingham-Southern, Central Florida, Kansas, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Texas.

 

Competing for the Lady Rebels is senior Katie Davidson, junior Katherine Jones, sophomores Dori Carter and J.J. Flynn and freshman Sara Grantham.
