OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss head coach Ed Orgeron announced Wednesday the signing of four junior college players to football scholarships. All four are scheduled to enroll at Ole Miss in January and participate in spring football drills.

Players who signed with the Rebels include center Corey Actis of Bakersfield, Calif.; quarterback Bruce Hall of Milton, Fla.; tight end Jason Hawkins of Fontana, Calif.; and defensive tackle Korey Raymond of LaPlace, La.

"We were able to fill some needs at key positions," Orgeron said. "They all have a chance to earn a spot in the spring and I believe they will be able to come in and contribute immediately. We're excited about having them join our program."

Actis was a first team All-America selection by the J.C. Gridwire while playing the last two years for Coach Jeff Chudy at Bakersfield Junior College. The 6-5, 295-pound Actis, who was ranked the 59th best Junior College player in the nation by Rivals.com, also earned first team All-Region III by the California Community College Coaches Association, first team All-Western State Conference Northern Division by the Coaches, and All-State.

A three-year letterman while playing for Coach Chad Provensal at Liberty High School in Bakersfield, Actis made the All-Area team and was selected Defensive Player of the Year.

Hall, a 6-0, 210-pound signal-caller, was a first team MACJC All-State selection while playing for Coach Andy Greening at Northeast Mississippi Community College. Hall, who threw for 1,003 yards and 10 touchdowns and also rushed for almost 300 yards, made the All-Region team, and was rated No. 6 on The Clarion-Ledger Top 25 Juco Recruits list.

Prior to playing for Northeast, Hall originally signed with Wake Forest and redshirted in 2003. He ranked No 45 on the Orlando Sentinel Top 100 Florida prospects list, was rated as the nation's 29th-best dual-threat quarterback by Rivals100.com and was named the Offensive Player of the Year by the Pensacola News Journal.

Playing for Coach Mike McMillion at Milton High, Hall completed 357-of-650 passes for 5,646 yards and 34 touchdowns during his career and rushed 476 times for 2,534 yards and 31 TDs in that same span. He passed for more than 2,561 yards and 28 touchdowns while rushing for 1,303 yards and 16 scores during his senior season, leading Milton High to a 9-2 record and the second round of the 3A playoffs. As a junior, he passed for 2,200 yards and 18 touchdowns while only being intercepted five times. He was named to All-State and All-Area first teams twice.

Hall, also a two-year letterman in basketball, was named Mr. Milton High School and was selected to the school's football Hall of Fame.

Hawkins, a 6-3, 255-pound tight end, earned All-America honors by the J.C. Gridwire, was a first team All-Conference pick, and was named Most Valuable Player of his San Bernardino Valley Junior College team. Playing for Coach Pat Meech, he had 19 pass receptions for 398 yards and five touchdowns as a freshman and 28 catches for 420 yards and four touchdowns as a sophomore.

He earned three letters in football and four in basketball while playing for Bloomington, Calif., High School.

Raymond, a 6-3, 290-pound defensive tackle, had 40 tackles as a sophomore while playing for Coach Roger Carr at East Mississippi Community College. He was ranked as the 59th best Junior College player in the nation by Rivals.com and was a second team All-State selection. A NJACC Preseason All-American, Raymond was a member of The Clarion-Ledger Top 25 Juco Recruits list.
