Lady Rebels Close Out Fall Season At Derby Invitational

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss women's golf team will play in its final fall tournament over the weekend at they travel to Auburn, Ala., for the Derby Invitational. The Derby will be played at the Auburn University Club, a 6,270 yard, par-72 course.
"We are really looking for some consistency in this final fall tournament," said Ole Miss head coach Meghan Bolger. "We want to have three solid rounds from all of our golfers. That will give us a good amount of momentum heading in to our winter workouts."
Ole Miss is one of 17 teams competing in the Derby. Along with host Auburn, other schools in the field are: Alabama, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Kansas, LSU, North Carolina State, UNC-Wilmington, Oklahoma State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Florida.
Competing for the Lady Rebels at the Derby will be: seniors Laura Evans (Dalton, Ga.) and Sarah Kate Cousart (Athens, Ga.), junior Katie Davidson (Bonaire, Ga.) and freshmen Dori Carter (Valdosta, Ga.) and Rachel Ingram (Jonesborough, Tenn.).
At the completion of the Derby Invitational, Ole Miss will take a break before beginning competition March 3-5 at the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic in Baton Rouge, La.
