Ole Miss Head Coach Ed Orgeron

Opening Comments
"Give LSU credit. They are an excellent football team. They are well-coached and very talented. They are physical, fast, and they know what they are doing. I thought they were excellent on defense. Obviously, we couldn't get much done. Their kickoff team really hurt us in terms of field position. They made the big plays when they had to. JaMarcus Russell made some big plays. We got beat deep again. But again, I have to give them credit. They are an excellent and very talented football team."

On the emotion of the game
"Our guys, before the game, were fired up. Competition-wise, we have a ways to go. Offensively, we just could not get anything going. Defensively, we struggled a little bit again with the passing game. On special teams, we did nothing."

On Ethan Flatt's injury
"It was a really hard hit. He took a couple of hard knocks. A couple of linemen were getting knocked back into him and he was getting shook up. We were just not physical on the line of scrimmage. I think he is okay, but I have not checked up on him yet."

On the toughness of LSU
"They are tough. We knew that going in. I didn't think it would be that bad. I was hoping we could do a better job, but we didn't.

On the level of Ole Miss to LSU
"We know we have got to get bigger, stronger, faster, and more physical to play a team like LSU, who wins the SEC West. They are a lot farther along than we are. We have a ways to go to catch up with LSU."

On comparing LSU to Southern Cal
"I don't know. I know that LSU is one of the better teams we have faced this season. They and Auburn are two very tough teams that we have played. LSU is very physical on both sides of the ball with a lot of speed and they are well-coached."

On not having Mico McSwain tonight
"I think Mico always has the ability to give us the big play. Mico has made a lot out of nothing for us this year. He may have been able to get a couple of big runs against them, but we will not be able to have an offense until we get better at the line of scrimmage."

Ole Miss Players

#16 QB Micheal Spurlock
On the game
"They just beat us from the beginning to the end. We didn't come out and get the job done tonight."

On coming in for Flatt
"I felt fine out there, we just didn't get the job done. Ethan went down, and I came in looking to help the team put some points on the board. We tried to get it going, but couldn't."

On bouncing back for next weekend
"It's Mississippi State. We'll be up for it just like any other time we play. We have to work on carrying through our preparation into the game. It's the last game for the seniors, so we'll be giving our all to come out on top."

#7 WR Taye Biddle
On the game

"There aren't many ways to say it. We just didn't execute and didn't create many opportunities for ourselves tonight."

On his touchdown
"We have an attitude around here that we will always keep fighting, regardless of how good or bad things might look. We just kept going at it on offense. Micheal found me out there and I took it in. It was the perfect play call."

On playing his final home game
"It meant a lot (for the seniors) to be playing our final game out there, especially against LSU. It's disappointing though to play like that. Everyone was out there fighting hard, we just didn't get it done."

#25 RB-WR Larry Kendrick
On the game
"We just didn't play like we know we can. We were ready to go tonight, but just couldn't get it going on offense."

On LSU's defense
"Their performance was pretty self-explanatory. They were really good but, as an offense, we didn't execute."

#20 DB Charles Clark
On his interception
"We were in a cover 2, and I was just following Trumaine (McBride) in case he didn't make the play or get the tackle. I saw the ball and made the play on it."

On LSU's passing game
"We knew they were going to line up and try to go deep often. We were trying to get some close protection but we had to stay deep. We did get beat on the deep ball a couple times today but we had to stay in coverage. They have very talented receivers.

#49 LB Patrick Willis
On the game
"It was a tough game. They came out from the get-go and really jumped on us. Field position really kept us in the hole. We were on the field for a long time. It's very hard to keep up when you're playing a good team like LSU. They are the best team we have played this year by far."

On LSU's run game
"They have some great running backs. They are a good team with a really good offensive line, so they're going to have some good runs. I thought for the most part we did a good job containing their backs throughout the game. Even when it seems like there's nowhere to go they seem to find holes."

On the rest of the season
"It's thanksgiving break and there's no school so all we can do is concentrate and prepare for Mississippi State. This is a game that we must win."

LSU Head Coach Les Miles

Opening Statement
"I felt like we came into this game to get a win. Now we get to move forward and focus on Arkansas and winning the SEC West."

On the game
"We played a great game. Our offense, defense and special teams complimented each other."

On JaMarcus Russell
"JaMarcus has put together several quality games in a row. He is putting the ball where the receivers can catch it. He has learned how to throw the ball away, and when to pull it down and scramble."

On the offense
"Our offense is built around getting people the ball, handing the ball off and getting the ball in the hand of our receivers. We did a good job of that today."

On the defense
"I knew it would take time to get the defense where it needs to be. I think we are in a good position."

#46 LB Cameron Vaughn
On the game
"We did what had to do tonight. Our defense and our offense played great. We have some guys out there on defense that our opponents should be afraid of, and it is an honor to be out there with them."

#10 RB Joseph Addai
On the game and his performance
"My ankle feels a whole lot better. I made a couple mistakes, but everything went pretty good. I feel like our offense left some points on the field in the first half, but once we got in a rhythm and established ourselves in the second half we played well."

On the possibility of playing in the SEC Championship game
"We just need to take it one game at a time and focus on Arkansas next week."

#4 QB Jamarcus Russell
On the game
"We played a great game tonight. We left some points on the field in the first half, but we came out in the second half and did what we do best."
